This Student Residence Project accommodates 360 students while providing a unique vertical campus experience which creates a secondary circulation system with bridges. The three main components of a conventional campus form - green spaces, educational and residential - were brought together spontaneously within this complex form.

This project was designed for the competition during my internship at the DOME+Partners Architects in Istanbul. Collaborated with another intern architect to develop the design. During this internship my responsibilities included managing a small team of designers to develop the designs scheme of the Kocaeli University’s latest Co-ed Student Residence project. We proposed a cantilevered form which would juxtapose the steep landscape and create a sculptural statement on the site.

An award winning project, AQIP Pavilion, is selected as the America Continent’s winner in the daylight investigations category in bi-annual Worldwide competition called VELUX AWARDS. The team members were coming from diverse backgrounds Jason Peter King - instructor - with Visual Arts background, Rick Schutte with Technology in architecture and Mina Onay with Design in architecture.

Worked collaboratively on the Interior design of the Al Attiya Palace. Developed preliminary mood boards and concept boards and detailed sectional drawings, reflected ceiling plans and plan drawings. My responsibilities also included out-reaching different furniture design companies, checking their stocks and incorporating design furniture to high-end villa project while working with ZF design.

This area, which is located between Eglington and Lawrance Streets, is mostly populated with low-rise residential town-houses, therefore in this project the anomalies within the block structures and the building types are carefully studied. In the advanced steps the emphasis was put on the main arterial road, the Bathurst Street, and the differing characteristics of the building types were categorized according to their function and density.

This project was constructed for the International Istanbul Biennial (2015). Since the theme for the organization was the importance of smallness, this project was built to highlight that childhood is the purest and most lively part of people’s lives. The purpose behind the usage of convex mirrors in this project was to take its viewers to their past – childhood– by decreasing the size of their reflection.

Through mimicing the natural forms, in this project I wanted to create a building in a form of a flower. Organic forms such as flower’s leaf and topography were both incorporated into the design of the ramps and the staircases. I used card-board for the stair cases, metal circular sticks for the columns and clay for creating the floor plates.
